Tim & Gill got in touch in the midst of taking over a marina, restaurant, holiday accommodation and farm on the Isle of Kerrera, on the West coast of Scotland. While raising two ‘feral wildlings’ (their words) and with no investment. That sums these guys up and it’s exactly the type of ambition and can-do attitude that makes us love working with clients like them.
The marina was not in the best of shape and had changed hands (and brands) multiple times in recent years. Their vision was to rename, rebrand and relaunch with a fresh look that represented their values and those of the area, while making it seamless for customers to engage with them whatever their need. They wanted the Oban and Kerrera community to have pride and confidence in the marina once again.
We kicked things off with a number of strategy calls (and a few trips to Scotland!) to make sure we were all on the same page and had a clear idea of what the new brand and website needed to deliver. We then created complimentary brand identities for the marina and restaurant, looked at their different customers and developed new user journeys for their website. That allowed us to create a fun website full of personality, with resources for visitors and of course instant booking.
We also created a number of digital and print assets to support the PR around their launch, and to enable them to deliver a consistent message whether customers arrive via their website, social media or boat.
