As an island off the North coast of Wales, Anglesey, or Ynys Môn in Welsh, is uniquely positioned to harness renewable energy from solar, wind, and tidal sources. This has led to the island becoming a world-renowned centre of excellence for energy, a hub for major energy investments, and a leader in low carbon energy research and development.
But what does this mean for local residents? Menter Môn, who have spearheaded many of the islands’ projects, approached us in their quest of supporting communities to benefit from renewable energy. Collaborating with other partners, we developed a digital presence where people can learn about renewable energy, understand what’s happening on the island, and get involved in new schemes and roadshow events as they occur – all in an easy to understand format.
